Ashleigh Chevalier fuses her own brand of roots rock, funky jam blues, and some country with genre bending powerhouse vocals and a fiery, unforgettable stage performance. Supported by an all-star band, Chevalier never ceases to amaze and captivate audiences.
Chevalier’s first album, From the Soles, produced by Grammy Winner Jon Carroll, received a nomination for “Contemporary Folk Album of the Year” in Washington D.C.’s Washington Area Music Awards. With special guests like Jon Carroll (Starland Vocal Band, Mary Chapin Carpenter), Hunter Wolfe (Born Crooked), and international saxophonist Ron Holloway (Warren Haynes, Susan Tedeschi, Dizzie Gillespie), the album pleases all who hear it.
Since her release, Chevalier has performed across the Mid Atlantic Region a guest performer and with her band: The Hamilton in D.C., The Recher Theater in Maryland, The Tally Ho Theater (Leesburg), Smokehouse Live, guested with Devon Allman at The State Theater in Falls Church, The Freeway Revival at The State Theater in Culpeper, The Southern in Charlottesville, The Tin Pan in RVA, Clementine’s in Harrisonburg, Gypsy Sally’s in D.C., Hill Country BBQ in D.C. , as well as Pearl Street Warehouse, Madam’s Organ Blues Bar in DC, and The Virginia State Fair, and numerous other festivals and events. To date, she has opened twice for BMA Winners Devon Allman, Samantha Fish, Jarekus Singleton, Nashville’s Sam Grow as well as supporting Kansas, and Grammy Nominated Danielle Nicole Band. She has shared the stage with members of James Brown’s Fabulous Jewels, Modern Yesterday’s Andrew Hellier, Steve Jarrell from The Prophets, Billy Hancock, and Dave Elliott (Little Feat, Danny Gatton), legendary blues man, Linwood Taylor, D.C.’s Queen of the Blues: Carly Harvey, NBC Idol Winner Anthony Campbell, and The Bobby Thompson Project.
